How You Can Help

The biggest thing you can do to help alleviate suffering for farmed animals is to stop personally contributing to animal agriculture.  This means choosing plant-based food that does not contain animal byproducts.  We no longer have to consume animal products for food.  Each of us has the opportunity to make humane choices that align our actions with our values.
Fortunately, veganism is on the rise - and there are thousands of plant-based food options that make eating this way delicious, healthy and attainable.
Visit Vegan Outreach's Resource page for a collection of helpful tools including recipe ideas, how to eat out at restaurants, nutrition tips, and easy swaps.
You can also visit Mercy for Animals' personalized meal planner tool to make grocery shopping and preparation a breeze.
Also, the Happy Cow tool can help find restaurants near you that have vegan options.  Even fast food chains like Burger King, Taco Bell, Dunkin Donuts and Chipotle now have plant-based items to choose from.
